Colorado coach Deion Sanders had a surprise for his team at their meeting Friday morning following a war of words with Colorado State coach Jay Norvell this week.
He gave each player a pair of Blenders sunglasses, a company with which Sanders has a line of sunglasses.
“They don’t realize that not only are we going to kick their butt because it’s a personal matter, but it’s going to be business and it’s also going to be personal,” Sanders said. “They don’t realize it, they were just helping me in the business.”
Sanders also handed out some glasses to the hosts of ESPN’s “First Take” during his appearance Friday.

During a radio show Wednesday night, Colorado State coach Jay Norvell expressed objections to Sanders’ usual attire at press conferences.
“I sat down with ESPN today. I don’t care if you hear it in Boulder. I told them, I took off my hat and took off my glasses,” Norvell said. “I said when I talk to adults I take off my hat and glasses. My mother taught me that.”
During Thursday’s practice, Sanders and his team addressed the criticism in a video recorded by Well Off Media, a YouTube channel run by his son Deion Sanders Jr.
“I’m minding my own business, watching film, trying to prepare, trying to come out here and be the best coach I can be, and I look up and read some bullshit they said about us.” , Sanders told his players. “Once again.
