Dell has decided to simplify its range of XPS computers in 2024 by harmonizing its three models with a brand new design and a latest generation technical data sheet.

During CES, the manufacturer lifted the veil on these new models that are ready for the future, between an Intel Core Ultra chip and a design ready for AI.

The Dell XPS changes the design

Dell continues to evolve the now iconic design of its XPS while maintaining its minimalist identity. The three devices are now inspired by the XPS Plus series launched in 2022, with their brushed aluminum coating, their color that now covers the entire case and the slightly larger keys on their keyboard.

The touch function bar is now integrated into all models, as is the haptic feedback touchpad made of transparent glass that blends in with the rest of the machine. This design clearly impressed us in our test of the Dell XPS Plus 13 and we congratulate Dell on this decision.

Screens that are becoming more comfortable

Dell has also revised the definitions offered on its screens, gaining in diagonal while refining their edges: the XPS 13 can go up to 3K+ (2880×1800), the 16 up to 4K+ (3840×2400). Of course, non-touch IPS versions can still be configured with a resolution of 1920 x 1200.

The panels remain Dolby Vision compatible and feature a new 1080p webcam that should significantly improve the quality of your video calls, especially in low light.

Small but mighty

Logically, Dell has decided to include the latest Intel Core Ultra processors across its entire range, from Core Ultra 7 to 9 depending on the configuration, to offer a much higher performance/energy efficiency ratio than the previous generation.

In its announcement, the manufacturer focused on the XPS 14 and 16, two models that offer “cutting-edge performance for demanding creative tasks such as 3D rendering, video editing and live streaming.” At the GPU level, you can choose from the latest generation of Intel Arc graphics cards up to the Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070 with 8GB of GDDR6 video memory.

Finally, and this will be the case with almost all PC announcements this CES 2024, all Dell XPS will come with an NPU (Neural Processing Unit) to accelerate all AI-related tasks and applications. Whether it's processing images and videos faster, generating images or text via Stable Diffusion or ChatGPT, or using Windows Copilot, all applications that use artificial intelligence are optimized.

Additionally, there will be a Windows Copilot key on the keyboard to quickly launch Microsoft's AI assistant on Windows 11 and its future versions.

All three new Dell XPS computers will be available on February 24, 2024 at these prices:

  • The XPS 13 from 1,499 euros;
