Depp v Heard judge says neither of them believed their ‘crocodile tears’

One of the jurors in the explosive trial between Johnny Depp and Amber Heard broke his silence on Thursday to counter Heard’s claims that the jury was hypnotized by her famous ex and that the verdict was unfair, insisting they follow the evidence and themselves felt “uncomfortable” with her emotional outbursts.

The male juror spoke anonymously to Good Morning America to say that he and the other jurors were “uncomfortable” with Heard staring at them throughout the trial and had trouble believing her as she went from “crying.” ‘ became ‘freezing cold’.

He denied her claim it was a social media trial, revealing that three of the jurors don’t have Facebook or Twitter.

“The crying, the facial expressions, the jury stares … we all felt very uncomfortable,” said the man, one of five on the jury.

Heard has repeatedly claimed that Depp only won the case because he was more famous and likeable than her.

However, the jury said Thursday that they reached their verdict based on the evidence in the case.

“Much of her story didn’t add up…the majority of the jury thought she was the aggressor. The crying, the facial expressions she had, the staring at the jury. We all felt very uncomfortable… she answered a question and she cried and two seconds later she went freezing cold…

“Some of us have used the phrase ‘crocodile tears,'” he said.

“We followed the evidence,” he said. He added that he personally doesn’t think Depp ever hit Heard.

One of the turning points for the jury, he said, was Heard’s admission that she had not donated her $7 million divorce settlement to charity, as she publicly claimed she had.

He called it a “fiasco,” adding that while Depp’s legal team is “sharp,” Heards has “sharp elbows” and comes across as aggressive.

The juror said they struggled to believe Heard, who went from “crying” to “stone cold” in a matter of seconds. They added that they didn’t like the way she “stared” at them.

“And the terms she used in the video clip were ‘I gave it away’, ‘I donated it’, ‘It’s gone’.

“But the fact of the matter is, she didn’t say much about it at all,” the juror said.

Heard said on the stand that she used the terms “pledged” and “donated” interchangeably.

The jury added that he believed both parties had abused each other.

“Much of the jury found what he said at the end of the day was more believable.

“He just seemed a little more real in terms of how he responded to questions.

“His emotional state was very stable the entire time,” the juror said.

“What I believe to be true is that they abused each other.

“I don’t think that makes either of them right or wrong, but to get to the level of what she was claiming, there wasn’t enough evidence to really support what she was saying.”

He added that social media played no part in the verdict, as Heard has claimed, and he doesn’t even use it.

“We followed the evidence. Myself and at least two other judges do not use Twitter or Facebook. Others who had it made it a point not to talk about it.’

The jury sided with Depp, ruling that Heard had defamed him with her 2018 op-ed in The Washington Post, in which she described herself as a victim of domestic abuse and violence.

She was ordered to pay Depp $8 million in damages after deductions, but now says she can’t afford it.

Despite losing the case, Heard continues to insist she is telling the truth and always has been.

Earlier this week, she appeared on TODAY to insist Depp hit her, but she said she still loves him.

“Until the day I die, I will stand by every word I say,” she told Savannah Guthrie, adding that she “absolutely” still loves the actor.

‘I love him. I loved him with all my heart and tried my best to make a deeply broken relationship work. And I couldn’t. I have no bad feelings or ill will toward him at all.

“I know that might be hard to understand, or it might be really easy to understand if you’ve ever loved someone.”

Heard claims it was a social media lawsuit and that her ex-husband won because he was more popular than her.

When grilled by Guthrie over audio clips played during the six-week trial in which the actress admitted to physically abusing Depp, Heard insisted she only ever “answered.” [physical violence]’ but that she ‘never instigated’ it.

“I never had to instigate it, I responded to it,” she claimed. “When you live in violence and it becomes normal – as I have witnessed – you have to adapt.”

Heard added that while she has “so much regret” about the “horrible” and “ugly” things she did and said to Depp, she only acted as “a person in extreme emotional, psychological and physical distress.” who felt that her “life was in danger”.

Fans were furious at Heard’s televised claims, saying she’s dropped to a new low by continuing to “lie” about Depp.
