“We take note of the statements made by the Brazilian President on the subject of possible mediation in order to find political ways to avoid escalation in Ukraine and increasing miscalculations in the field of international security, based on multilateralism and taking into account the interests of all actors correct. We examine the initiatives mainly from the point of view of Brazil’s balanced policy and, of course, taking into account the situation “on the ground,” said Galuzin.
The deputy minister also stated that Brazil’s position is important and that the country is a strategic partner for Russia. “We interact constructively in the Brics, in the G20, in the UN and in the Security Council, where Brazil has a seat as a nonpermanent member,” he said, according to Tass.

Brazil did not supply ammunition
Galuzin stated that Russia is glad that Brazil did not deliver ammunition to Ukraine, despite pressure from the United States: “I would like to emphasize that Russia appreciates Brazil’s balanced position in the current international situation, Brazil has rejected the unilateral coercive measures of the United States and its satellites against our country and refused to supply weapons, military equipment and ammunition to the Kiev regime,” he said.
what did lula say
President Lula has said he favors forming a group of countries not involved, even indirectly, in the conflict to reach an agreement to end the war.
On February 10, Lula met with US President Joe Biden and according to the Brazilian, one of the topics was war.
After meeting Biden, Lula said: “I spoke to President Biden about what I had already spoken to President (Emmanuel) Macron and Chancellor Olaf Scholz about the need to create a group of countries that are not directly involved or are indirectly involved in Russia’s war against Ukraine so that we can find ways to make peace. In other words, I am convinced that it is necessary to find a way out to end this war.”
He spoke again of the group of partner countries “capable of building a group of negotiators who understand both sides and can end this war.”
I said to President Biden what I said to President Macron and Chancellor Olaf Scholz about the need to create a group of countries that are not directly or indirectly involved in Russia’s war against Ukraine so that we can find ways to make peace close. In other words, I am convinced that a way must be found to end this war.
The same concern. No one wants this war to continue and we need to find partners who are able to build a group of negotiators who can understand both sides and end this war.
