Well-designed buildings that blend into the landscape can pass people by, but poor design execution stands out like a sore thumb.

People from all over the world have taken to Reddit to share the shocking design flaws they’ve noticed.

One person posted a picture of steps that were so uneven they were called “ankle breaker” stairs.

Meanwhile, a row of houses in Mönchengladbach, Germany, looked out of place because each one had a different shape, design and color.

Elsewhere, a laborious renovation of a 500-year-old castle in Glasgow has been carried out so poorly it’s hard to look at.

And a public toilet was over a meter above the ground, making it a nightmare for people to use.

Ironically, Ball State University’s College of Architecture and Planning in Indiana lacked space for the sign due to ironically poor planning and design.
