When the investigation came to light, Desirrê did not consider himself a victim, at first. She reports that today in Brazil she is still trying to understand what happened and the trauma she went through.
“I denied that I was a victim, I denied it for a long time, and then it was a process where I had to realize that I had been a victim of manipulation. I realized that this didn’t happen overnight, it took years.” “Everything was planned by her. The more I started writing the book, the more I understood it. I cried a lot while writing it,” he described.
The young woman continues to hope for justice. “This is not in my hands, but in the hands of the Brazilian justice system. I will do whatever I can to raise public awareness or investigate,” he concluded.
