Desperate search for missing mother of two who disappeared before she could get any kids out of daycare

A 26-year-old Minnesota mother of two has been missing for nearly a week in what local police are calling “suspicious” circumstances after her phone and wallet were found at her home.

Madeline Kingsbury, 26, was last seen around 10 a.m. on March 31 at her home on Kerry Drive in Winona, near the Minnesota-Wisconsin border.

She and her children’s father – a 5-year-old girl and a 2-year-old boy – had just dropped them off at a daycare before returning home.

Around 10 a.m., the children’s father left their home in a dark blue 2014 Chrysler Town and Country minivan, he told authorities. When he returned later that day, Kingsbury was gone.

Her job said she didn’t show up, and friends and family said she didn’t respond to a number of calls and messages. She didn’t pick up her children either.

Winona Police said Kingsbury’s disappearance was suspicious based on their investigation, KARE reported.

“We believe Maddi’s disappearance is involuntary and suspicious and we are all concerned for her safety,” Police Commissioner Tom Williams said.

It’s unclear that she left home voluntarily because she left her phone, wallet and ID at her house.

Using surveillance video, police identified a van matching the description of the van that the father of her children was driving in Fillmore County between 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Friday, according to the La Crosse Tribune.

“From the investigation, we know the children were dropped off at the daycare and the van returned home,” Williams said.

They could not confirm who was driving the van at the time. They are asking residents of both counties to check their own security cameras to see if they noticed the minivan.

“The investigation into what happened upon returning home is still open and ongoing,” he added.

Winona Police have not suggested a suspect, but have urged residents to check their own security cameras for a dark blue minivan parked in the city of Winona, Wilson Township and Hillsdale Township between 8 a.m. March 31 and 4 p.m. April ” passes or stops”. 1.
