Although he is currently battling cancer, tight end Foster Moreau has signed a three-year contract with the New Orleans Saints.
This was confirmed by the 26-year-old athlete’s agent to the ESPN network on Wednesday. Moreau’s new contract is worth a total of $12 million, of which $8 million is guaranteed.

The footballer suffers from Hodgkin’s lymphoma, a type of cancer that starts in white blood cells and affects the lymphatic system. Snowboarder Maxence Parrot and legendary ice hockey player Mario Lemieux suffer from this type of cancer.
Moreau’s disease was diagnosed after a routine checkup by the Saints’ medical team earlier this offseason. Since then he has been treated successfully.
Moreau began his NFL career in 2019 after being drafted by the Las Vegas Raiders. In four seasons and 34 games with that team, he caught 91 of 132 balls sent to him for 1,107 yards and 12 touchdowns.
