Detroit Lions 2022 Free Agency News Rumor Tracker

As Detroit Lions general manager Brad Holmes said post-season, we’re in a “player acquisition” phase of the recovery process. Things are moving slowly as the Lions only re-signed a handful of players ahead of the league’s new year on Wednesday, March 16 at 4:00 pm ET.

But the situation is expected to accelerate significantly. Beginning Monday, March 14 at noon ET, NFL teams will be able to begin negotiations with players’ agents, who are scheduled to become free agents on Wednesday. In some cases, the rumors start even earlier, as the teams haven’t been talking all that secretly since – at the latest – the NFL reunion last week.

So to help keep you up to date with the latest news on the Detroit Lions, their free agents, and any players they may be considering adding this offseason, this post will serve as a free agency rumor tracker. Any news or rumors (from legitimate sources) will be listed below and we will update you over the next few weeks.

We will also have a separate off-season tracker that will keep track of each Leo’s free agent status and count all the additions and subtractions to the roster. It will start on Monday morning.

In the meantime, here’s your official Detroit Lions free agency news and rumor tracker.
