Devon Levi finds his way to victory

Devon Levi, who was sent off for the third straight game, did well against the Arizona Coyotes and made some great saves to help the Buffalo Sabers win 5-2 on Monday night at KeyBank Center.

Since returning from the American League, the Quebec goaltender defeated the Boston Bruins before losing to the Montreal Canadiens in a shootout on Saturday. It has to be said that Levi was significantly less busy than his counterpart when he last left.

His 21 saves on 23 shots were sufficient, while Karel Vejmelka's 33 saves on the other side were unnecessary. Captain Kyle Okposo and Eric Robinson each had three points. For the latter, these were his first points in a Sabers uniform.

JJ Peterka continued his excellent start to the season with a 12th goal, matching his total from last season. With his goal from an impossible angle, the German striker has scored 21 points in 29 games.

To get back to Levi, he reserved his best save for Jason Zucker midway through the third period. The Cerberus correctly recognized the experienced attacker's feint and put an end to the threat with his glove. Proud of himself, he then celebrated with the fans.

Jake Oettinger is recovering

In Dallas, goaltender Jake Oettinger responded well to his poor performance this weekend by blocking 27 shots in the Stars' 6-3 win over the Detroit Red Wings.

The 24-year-old allowed six goals in Saturday's 6-1 loss to the Vegas Golden Knights, which could affect his confidence. However, he held up well against the visitors, even when they reduced the deficit to a single goal in the third period.

However, Joe Pavelski put an end to the danger 30 seconds after Joe Veleno's success by perfectly blocking Miro Heiskanen's throw. The latter added two goals of his own for a total of three points.

The Wings were without Dylan Larkin and David Perron, with the former injured and the latter serving the first game of his six-game suspension. Jonatan Berggren, who was recalled earlier in the day, took the opportunity to make a splash for the first time this season.
