Quebec will start a COVID vaccination drive on October 10.
On LCN, pharmacist and clinical professor at the University of Montreal Diane Lamarre answered many citizens’ questions.
Here are some of his answers:
Does it matter how many doses I received?
“No longer. You should have received one […] What is now crucial is the six months since the last dose or since the infection.
I have been sick for the past few months, with all the symptoms, but my test result was negative. Should I still get vaccinated?
“There is no harm in getting vaccinated if you have had the infection or been vaccinated within three months previously.”
I’m 36 years old and in great shape. Should I get vaccinated?
“If you are around elderly or vulnerable people, there is something that should encourage you to get vaccinated. And we’re realizing more and more that people who have a second COVID infection are more likely to develop long COVID, which we now call post-COVID syndrome.
