Dianne Buswell says her boyfriend Joe Sugg is supportive of her close friendship with Strictly partner Bobby Brazier after their passionate almost-kiss

Dianne Buswell said her boyfriend Joe Sugg was supportive of her close friendship with her Strictly Come Dancing partner Bobby Brazier.

The 34-year-old professional dancer met her 32-year-old partner while he was starring in the 16th series of the BBC competition in 2018.

This year she is partnering 20-year-old EastEnders actor Bobby. Dianne adds that Joe understands the intensity of her job since he was once a candidate.

Speaking to The Mirror on Saturday, she explained: “I hardly see him very often.” But he understands. He was one of the participants, so he understands how much time and energy it takes and how much the show means to me.

“He always supports us. Whatever I do with dancing, he knows it’s my job and my passion, and he’s always been so supportive of me and Bobby.”

In the interview, Dianne explained that Bobby had met Joe a few times and added that they would remain “friends for life.”

She praised the actor for his positive attitude and continued: “I love the fact that he puts so much passion and energy into every performance and that’s what I fell in love with with dancing, the whole story-telling aspect , and Bobby does that.”

Earlier this week, Dianne and Bobby discussed their intense performance during Saturday night’s show, which ended in a passionate almost-kiss.

The professional dancer and EastEnders star appeared on Good Morning Britain on Tuesday morning to reflect on their routine.

However, Bobby made a mistake and got stuck in traffic on the way, so he had to join in via video link from his car, leaving Dianne alone in the studio.

He apologized to the hosts and said: “I don’t know what to say. I’m sorry guys, forgive me.”

But then he shifted the blame onto Dianne, accusing her: “You didn’t call me this morning, she usually calls me!”

Dianne defended herself, saying, “I do, but I was too busy getting ready this morning.”

The pair then discussed the public reaction to their steamy show over the weekend after causing a stir with their almost-kiss.

The couple danced the Argentine Tango to Sail by AWLONATION and placed in the middle of the leaderboard with 30 out of 40 points.

At the end of the dance, Dianne slipped on her knees into Bobby’s arms as they hugged and pressed their foreheads together.

Of the passionate moment, Dianne explained: “The thing I love about dancing is the ability to tell a story.” It’s like acting, isn’t it?

“We obviously did the dance right if that’s what people say.” [romance rumours] then we managed it well.”

Bobby added that the number was his favorite dance so far, saying: “I really liked the story, the intensity and the emotion.” Listen, I’m ready to turn it up a notch! I enjoy it.’

It came after Bobby hit back at a fan who complained that he felt “uncomfortable” watching the dance.

In a comment on Instagram, the viewer said the routine crossed the line, writing: “I love Dianne, she’s a great dancer and teacher and like Bobby, but it felt awkward for me to watch and the final kiss was Way too intense.” “The dance was flawless, I just didn’t like how intimate it looked.”

But Bobby responded to the comments and simply wrote: “Job done.”

Dianne has reportedly been “hit hard” by the scrutiny of her five-year relationship with Joe Sugg due to her close bond with Bobby.

The professional dancer was said to be upset by “cruel comments” after Bobby declared his love for her.

Insiders close to Dianne say she is “still very much together” with Joe, 32, but is feeling depressed after being bombarded with ridicule from the YouTuber’s overzealous supporters.

“The cruel comments she read about her relationship with Bobby – who was really supportive of her – have hit her hard,” a source told The Mirror.

“She and Joe are still on good terms and he has also been very supportive of her and made it clear publicly that he has her back.”
