Did Nostradamus predict that this war would reach France?

Global Warming

Nostradamus predicted in 1555 that climate change would become so bad that rising temperatures would “halve” the fish in the sea.

He also suggested that, in the end, the human race would not see rain for 40 years, and when it finally did, there would be “great floods” that would devastate nations.

Nostradamus writes: “Because of the heat of the sun in the sea / On Euboea the fish is half cooked / the inhabitants will come to cut them / When the biscuits fail Rhodes and Genoa.”

In another chapter of his book, Nostradamus also writes: “For forty years the rainbow will not be seen / For forty years it will be seen every day / The dry land will become drier / and there will be great floods when it is seen.”

The UN has warned that the Earth is likely to warm by 1.5 degrees Celsius in the next 20 years – a decade earlier than expected.

Hit the asteroid

Nostradamus also seems to have predicted in 1555 that the Earth would be hit by an asteroid impact causing mass death.

It is not clear from the astronomer’s predictions when this supposed impact on the “heavenly stone” will occur, but he writes that a “great fire” will fall from the sky.

In one passage Nostradamus writes: “A new, swift and sudden rain / Suddenly two armies will stop / Heavenly stone, fires make the sea stone / Death at seven on land and at sea sudden.”

He also writes: “A great fire will fall from the sky for three nights / The reason will look both stunning and amazing / soon after there will be an earthquake.”

Nostradamus seems to suggest that the Earth will be hit by dozens of asteroids that will cause fires and devastation.

The world has already had close conversations with asteroids, like an asteroid almost as long as a London bus that was nearly missing from Earth earlier this year.

Mass starvation caused by inflation

Nostradamus also predicts a global famine caused by inflation, which is causing prices to rise in a failing economy.

Mass starvation will also increase conflicts, according to Nostradamus, as people fight for natural resources affected by climate change.

In one section Nostradamus writes: “Without abbots, monks, no novices to study / Honey will cost much more than candle wax / So high the price of wheat that man is agitated / His brethren to eat in despair.”

Nostradamus seems to suggest that the human race will never learn and prices will continue to rise – so much so that many remain hungry.

Countries around the world are experiencing political instability, the coronavirus pandemic and gas shortages are causing a boom in inflation as food and energy prices rise.

Wholesale gas prices rose 500% in less than 12 months in the UK as a result of increased energy demand and low gas exports from Russia and low supply from France.

The power of AI technology

Nostradamus seems to have predicted the rise of artificial intelligence almost five decades ago.

Technology has evolved to such an extent over the last few decades that it is difficult to know what development will take place in the near future, but Nostradamus seems to suggest that humans will become “immortal” with the rise of AI technology.

He writes: “The moon in the full night above the high mountain / The new sage with a lonely brain sees it / From his disciples, invited to be immortal / Eyes to the south / Hands in the bosom, bodies in the fire.”

The author’s words can be interpreted as a homage to the rise of AI technology, where “immortal” students can replace humans on Earth.
