In Quebec, the weather depression could leave a white carpet of 4 centimeters of snow in mountainous terrain with temperatures above freezing.
The same scenario is expected in areas of eastern Quebec, where precipitation will turn to rain on Thursday due to rising temperatures.
Otherwise, the weather is expected to improve in the southwest with a mix of sun and clouds, while areas in central Quebec will be cloudier.
