After the “cuts” for the World Cup, La Vita had to reduce hours (for Mattarella) and two suspensions in Diretta to make room for the Zecchino d’Oro

Like any decent afternoon, Tuesday, December 20th Alberto Matano comes to the homes of Italians with Live Life, the daily container of Rai 1 which is increasingly being confirmed as one of the pillars of the first network. A fixed date for millions of viewers who wait every day at 5 p.m. for the show to start. Today, however, the waiting time is longer: the transmission actually starts at 5:45 p.m.

Life gives way to Mattarella’s speech
But why is Live Life changing its time? The reason is very simple. In fact, one will be broadcast from 4:55 p.m Rg1 special dedicated to the traditional greeting exchange Year-end of the President of the Republic Sergio Mattarella and representatives of institutions, the political forces and civil society of the state. A ceremony that takes place every year just before Christmas in the Salone dei Corazzieri of the Palazzo del Quirinale, where the President receives all the highest Italian offices. Among these will be the Prime Minister Giorgia Melonithe President of the Senate Ignatius La Russathe speaker of the chamber Lorenzo Fontana, as well as the most important offices of institutional bodies such as the Constitutional Court. During the ceremony, Mattarella will address those in attendance and will be broadcast live on Rai 1 News.
For this, Alberto Matano and his live life have to wait until 5.45 p.m. and go on the air in one go abridged version as usual. Because today the show only lasts an hour, leaving room for L’Eredità as always. This week, therefore, the Rai 1 afternoon show has to do without two more episodes: on Thursday 22nd and Friday 23rd December, in fact, it has to give way to the Zecchino d’Oro, which ends with the finale on Christmas Eve.
