A few days after the tough qualifying game against Brazil, the Peruvian team received a visit from Dina Boluarte and Alberto Otárola. The President of the Republic and the President of the Council of Ministers were at the Blanquirroja rally this Sunday to express their support to the players.
Boluarte and Otárola were received by the President of the Peruvian Football Federation, Agustín Lozano Saavedra; the FPF vice-president Arturo Ríos; and FPF Secretary General Sabrina Martín. The head of state and the head of the PCM then spent some time with the selectees and the technical command.
“The country needs unity. As a government, we have focused on the national team to express our full support to the players and technical team. “On Tuesday we will be at the National Stadium and cheer on the team, we are sure we will achieve good results,” Boluarte explained at the concentration hotel.
The national team has just drawn 0-0 with Paraguay in Ciudad del Este on the first day of qualifying and will now look to attack Brazil, who beat Bolivia 5-1.
La Blanquirroja, without Luis Advíncula (exclusion) or Christofer Gonzales (injury), will face the Verdeamarela this Tuesday, September 12, at 9:00 p.m. (Peruvian time) at the National Stadium in Lima.
