It’s quite a drastic change in weather. The city of Denver and the Colorado region of the United States experienced a sudden drop in temperature, dropping from 32°C to -1°C in 36 hours, HuffPost reports. About 30 cm of fresh snow fell.

This snow episode caused great damage. Trees fell on roads and power lines were damaged, plunging nearly 80,000 homes into darkness.

3.8 tons of waste collected on Lake Geneva

1,200 volunteers, including 300 divers, in 14 locations around Lake Geneva… As always, the Net’Léman lake cleaning operation has used great resources this weekend. Perhaps even a little more, since this year Net’Léman was also part of the Energy Transition Off des Assises programme. And as with every edition, the collection was colossal, albeit still in comparison to a few years ago. According to the first official report, 3.8 tons of garbage were collected this Sunday evening. Bulk litter has disappeared, in contrast to small pieces of plastic, single-use containers and cigarette butts, which are the most commonly found.
