More than 17,000 new Ukrainian soldiers have been trained in a year under a UK-led program as part of its support to Kiev in the face of the Russian invasion, Britain’s Defense Ministry said on Monday (June 26). Aimed at recruits with little or no military experience, the program consists of a minimum of five weeks of training, including weapons handling, first aid, martial law, patrol tactics, and rural setting training. Wagner’s forces withdraw from Russia. According to local authorities, fighters from the paramilitary group left the Voronezh and Lipetsk regions south of Moscow on Sunday. They had already started withdrawing the day before so as not to spill “Russian blood,” as Yevgeny Prigoyine put it.

Moscow continues its anti-terrorist vigilance. Despite the failure of Wagner’s attempted uprising, the “anti-terrorist operational regime” remains in effect in the Russian capital and its region. Large police patrols are deployed along the road leading to the town exit and Monday will be a rest day.

Kyiv demands progress in Bachmout. The Ukrainian army advanced slightly south and north of the city, up to a kilometer, a spokesman told Independent Kyiv on Sunday.
