He visited seriously injured Ukrainian soldiers who were being treated at Staten Island University Hospital. “We are grateful and proud of you,” he said. “We are waiting for all of you at home, we absolutely need every single one of you, every strong Ukrainian fighter to defeat our enemy,” he added.
A drone attack in Lviv. Drones attacked this city in western Ukraine on Tuesday morning. A fire broke out in an industrial hall, the mayor assured on Telegram. For now, a 26-year-old man was found under the rubble and transported to the hospital, the city council said.
Ukraine claims breakthrough in Bakhmut. Kiev claimed on Monday it had broken through the Russian defensive line by recapturing two villages near the destroyed town of Bakhmout on the Eastern Front. General Oleksandr Syrsky assured that three Russian brigades were destroyed in this advance. The situation in the region remains “complicated” and “heavy fighting near Bakhmout continues,” he admitted.
