3:23 p.m .: Five days after the death of French journalist Arman Soldin near Bakhmout, his employer, Agence France-Presse, pays tribute to him on the facade of his Paris headquarters.
1:41 p.m .: Moscow announces the death of two Russian military personnel at the front in Ukraine, without specifying where they fell. Such communications from the Russian military are particularly rare and reflect the intensification of fighting in recent days.
2 p.m.: Russian attacks in Ternopil have hit “commercial firms and a religious organization,” according to the city’s military administration, injuring two. Moscow, in turn, says it touched “storage sites for ammunition, weapons and military equipment received from Western countries” in Ternopil and Petropavlivka.
12:53 p.m.: The western town of Ternopil was the target of Russian attacks last night, according to local authorities, while the community’s Ukrainian group Tvorchi performed on the Eurovision Song Contest stage.
12:47 p.m .: Without being satisfied with German promises, the Ukrainian President calls on Berlin to go further. He asks Chancellor Olaf Scholz to “support” Ukraine by supplying fighter jets, which Germany initially refuses.

12:44 p.m .: During his visit to Berlin, Volodymyr Zelenskyy acknowledges the support of Germany, which he describes as a “true friend” and “reliable ally” after the announcement of a new arms delivery.
10:02 a.m.: “It’s a shame that most of the promised defense systems are old.”
The former Ukrainian ambassador to Germany is not entirely satisfied with the new arms delivery promised by Berlin. “It is also disappointing to see that the federal government continues (…) to refuse the delivery of combat aircraft, this taboo must be broken urgently,” he says.
