Director: Serge Denoncourt: The comedy Le nom returns next summer to Montreal, Gatineau and Saint-Hyacinthe

The comedy First name will return to Quebec next summer in a production by Serge Denoncourt.

The play by Matthieu Delaporte and Alexandre De La Patellière will be performed from July 4th to 13th, 2024 at the Théâtre Desjardins in the LaSalle district of Montreal, from July 19th to 27th at the Salle Odyssée in Gatineau and from August 2nd to 17th Juliette-Lassonde Art Center in Saint-Hyacinthe.

Around Serge Denoncourt we find the artistic director Pierre Bernard and the adaptation is signed by Maryse Warda.

The distribution of this “study on civil and urban customs” is not yet known. In the past, The First Name performed in France with 250,000 tickets sold, then in Quebec, where 70,000 people saw the play at one of the 100 performances. A film adaptation starring Patrick Bruel and Charles Berling was also produced in 2012.
