The beginning of spring is the time of program and contract renewals on television.
In the last few weeks we have learned, among other things, of the upcoming end of La tour, Marie-Claude et Bien on TVA, and this week we have to say goodbye to L’Échappée and Hôtel. In Noovo we have the farewell to Who Knows How to Sing? done, but Phil Roy won’t have to mourn for long as he’s landed a new variety show date. Julie Snyder also finishes her marathon of La Semaine des 4 Julie for good.
Here’s another face of our small screen today to turn over an important page in his career. Pierre-Yves McSween announced on his social networks on Wednesday that his business magazine The McSween Index will no longer be aired on Télé-Québec after six years on the air. See his message at the end of the article.
The latest episode of The McSween Index, a Pixcom-produced event whose playful tone has helped bring finance and economics to the attention of many with tax and accounting headaches, airs this Thursday, March 30th Aired at 7:30 p.m
“But you know me. A project ends, but professional life goes on,” said McSween, who can still be heard daily on 98.5 radio, expressing heartfelt thanks to the team that has surrounded him for the life of The McSween Index.
The future is ours, a society magazine hosted by Émilie Perreault and Monic Néron for three years, was also not renewed for a fourth season by Télé-Québec.
