The strange snake was found on February 26 in a swamp in Sakhon Nakhon Province, Thailand. This creature is very mysterious as it is two feet (about 60 centimeters) long and appears to be completely covered in green fur.
The snake was moving slowly through the muddy water when Tu, 49, spotted it as it walked near his home. He decided to put it in a clay pot filled with water to take home and show to his family. Everyone was worried about the confusing appearance of this animal, which could suggest a sea dragon. Varaporn Panyasarn, Tu’s niece, claims she has never seen such a snake in 30 years. The family decided to post this video for everyone to help find out, and they reached out to the experts as well.
While local authorities are unable to identify the animal, this family from Sakhon Nakhon has adopted this strange snake and is feeding it small fish. For now, it is speculated that what appears to be this reptile’s fur is actually moss that has grown on its body. He would have waited a very long time in the swamp to catch his prey. Marshes are very calm, shallow, rocky streams and therefore favor the appearance of moss.
