The son of a former prominent agent and Hollywood producer has been arrested in connection with the discovery of a dismembered body near a trash can last week in Encino, Los Angeles, which may have been his wife’s body. He disappeared.
“Here in the home, when officers entered the home, they discovered evidence of a crime, including blood evidence and other evidence that I will not present at this point,” Los Angeles Police Department Detective Efren Gutierrez told ABC7 on Thursday.
Last Wednesday, the investigation began in Encino, Los Angeles, after a homeless man reportedly found the remains of a human torso wrapped in a plastic bag next to a trash can, American media reported.
Thanks to surveillance cameras, they were able to track down 35-year-old Samuel Haskell Jr., whose wife Mei Haskell and his in-laws Yanxiang Wang and Gaoshen Li, who lived in the same house in Tarzana, were allegedly missing.
Body parts found in a Los Angeles dumpster may belong to three missing people.

“The reason we are worried about them is because they would normally be home during those hours. Tried to contact her via cell phone but no response. The same goes for Mei, she is missing,” Efren Gutierrez continued, according to ABC7.
It is not clear when the death occurred, but investigators estimate it could have happened within a few days.
The 30-year-old, who was arrested and detained hours after the body was discovered, is believed to be the son of Hollywood producer Sam Haskell, who reportedly resigned as CEO of the Miss America Organization following a scandal in 2017 would have made several television films with Dolly Parton.
