Motivated by pleas from families concerned about Disney’s growing efforts to advance the LGBT agenda among children and youth what many consider child eroticization Florida Gov. Ron De Santis signed into law the law removing administrative privilege, which Disney had enjoyed ever since was a small company and needed tax breaks.
The end of relative administrative autonomy comes amid a dispute between local government and the entertainment giant over a new law titled the Parental Rights in Education Act, which critics of the measure derogatorily dubbed “don’t say gay.” The text prevents the propaganda of sexual orientation and the proliferation of controversial gender theories in Florida’s elementary schools and directs educational institutions to avoid topics on the LGBT agenda when the age group is not appropriate for such discussions.
Disney’s progressive management responded to the law, sharply criticizing the government and beginning political action against the new norm. DeSantis replied, “I will not allow a Californiabased bright corporation (that feels morally superior) to rule our state.” The Republican criticized the arrogant behavior of the company’s management, saying Disney has had “a long history of special offers” in Florida. benefited and it was time to pay more taxes.
The company management has not yet officially commented on the loss of status, but legal disputes are already a matter of course.
