Manuel Lopez was diving for shellfish when he was attacked by a great white shark near Tobari Bay, Mexico. The predator literally decapitated him.
He was involved in a dive when he was attacked by a shark literally beheaded him. The violent and macabre attack happened on January 5 in Bahia de Tobari, in Mexico. As reported by the mirror Manuel Lopez was also referred to as diving in the area Tobari Bay, when the approximately six meter long great white shark took aim at him. The man reportedly “didn’t have any air tanks when he dived for scallops.”
Spokesman Jose Bernal said: “He was underwater when the animal attacked him. impressively rip off the head and bites both shoulders. Local divers had been warned of sharks in the area and most had decided not to dive for several days.” Lopez reportedly ignored the warnings because he “needed to make money from the shellfish.”
Divers and fishermen pay the local government an annual fishing fee of around 350 euros (7,200 pesos) to dive in the area.

Experts from Tracking Sharks said: “I great white sharks They are most common in the Gulf of California (where the dramatic incident took place) in December and January when pregnant female sharks enter the area. These predators often target sea lions for food because they are full of blubber and therefore high in calories.”
Several fishermen have claimed to have accidentally caught sea lions in their fishing nets, and on several occasions great white sharks have come close to their boats as they reel in their nets.
The bay was closed for 24 hours after the attack.
