Participating cities in this region include: Málaga, Oliete, Kuartango, Tejada and San Vicente de La Sonsierra.

Switzerland

Albinen will pay for the stay of new families. The municipality offers 25,000 Swiss francs (R$138,520) for adults under 45 and 10,000 Swiss francs (R$55,000) per child.

The program was initially open to Swiss nationals or qualified foreigners i.e. those who have lived in Switzerland long enough to obtain a residence permit.

Interested parties must commit to living in the area for 10 years and reside in a home valued at least 200,000 Swiss Francs, approximately R$1 million.

Greece

Ireland will pay 60,000 to 84,000 euros (about R$300,000 to 440,000) for those looking to renovate homes on the territory’s 30 most remote islands, some of which have just two residents.

According to O Globo, the subsidy is only available for renovating homes that have been unoccupied for at least two years, but not for home purchases.
