2023 – DOCTOR’S DAY. It is celebrated on Doctor’s Day in Americaproposed by the Pan American Congress of 1953.
The date commemorates the birth of the Cuban doctor Carlos Finlay in 1833. He was the one who discovered that yellow fever was transmitted by the Aedes aegypti mosquito and helped combat this disease.

In August 1956, Argentina officially took part in the celebration, at the initiative of the Medical School of Córdoba, with the support of the Argentine Medical Federation and made official by decree of the national government.

On December 3, 2013, there was an incident at a police barracks Wave of looting throughout the city of Córdoba.
That night, several parts of the capital were at the mercy of criminals. Neighbors set up barricades, others tried to stop the robberies, and an unprecedented number of weapons were seen on the streets.

1955 – TARANTINI RABBIT. Former footballer Alberto “Conejo” Tarantini was born in the city of Ezeiza in Buenos Aires, one of the best full-backs in the history of Argentine football, champion of the 1977 Copa Libertadores with Boca Juniors and with the Argentine national team in the 1978 World Cup. He was a two-time first division champion with River Plate. He played for English clubs Birmingham City and Talleres de Córdoba.

1965 – MY GENERATION. The Who releases the album My Generation in London, the first of the famous British band, considered one of the best in rock history.
1965 – RUBBER SOUL. “Rubber Soul”, the sixth studio album by the legendary British band The Beatles, is released and is considered one of the best in the history of pop music.
1990 – CARAPINTADA uprising. Colonel Mohamed Alí Seineldín is encouraging uprisings at the El Palomar base, in the Patricios Regiment and at the army headquarters, the fourth “Carapintada” military uprising since the return of democracy in 1983. The uprising left 14 dead and dozens injured. Seineldín led the Villa Martelli barracks riot in 1988, which claimed three lives and for which he was prosecuted. He was pardoned by President Carlos Menem in 1989.

1999 – ENRIQUE CADICAMO. At the age of 99, the composer and poet Enrique Cadicamo, author of the texts of the famous tangos “Los Mareados”, “Al mundo le missing a screw”, “Anchors in Paris” and “Nostalgia”, dies in Buenos Aires. He composed more than 800 songs, including tangos, waltzes, milongas, foxtrots, polkas and candombes.
2001 – FERNANDO DE LA RUA. The decree of President Fernando De la Rúa comes into force and initiates the “Financial Corralito”, as the restrictions on the withdrawal of cash and bank deposits were called, which led to a deep economic, political and social crisis.
