Ozzy Osbourne recently struggled with another health issue. During his fourth spinal surgery this year to minimize damage from a fall at home in 2019 doctors discovered the artist had a tumor there.

Madman himself made the revelation in an interview with Rolling Stone UK. Although he spoke openly about the diagnosis, he did not provide many details on the subject. First he explained:

“The second operation [na coluna] Things went very badly and I was practically crippled. I thought I could get up and run after the second and third rounds, but on the last one they rammed a rod into my spine.”

He then added, citing the tumor directly:

“They found a tumor in one of the vertebrae, so they had to get to the bottom of that too. It’s difficult, my balance is all messed up.”

Surgery, Parkinson’s and blood clots

In the second episode of the new season of The Osbournes podcast, which premiered in September, the Prince of Darkness mentioned surgeries and mental exhaustion due to the number of procedures performed in recent years. At the time he explained:

“I will be undergoing my final neck surgery. And it will be the last because I can’t take it anymore. Regardless of how everything turns out after that, I won’t do that anymore. I can’t go on.”

In addition to neck and spine complications, Ozzy suffers from the limitations of Parkinson’s disease. As he said last July while taking part in “Ozzy Speaks”, a show on his radio station on the American payment system SiriusXM, he also had to remove blood clots from his legs.

“I’ll keep fighting. I wanted to remove a filter. I had blood clots in my legs, so they put this filter in the artery to prevent the blood clots from reaching the heart or brain. It looks worse than it is. So I removed it. They stuck this thing that came from my neck right into my groin.”

Fall 2019

Ozzy Osbourne suffered a fall at home in early 2019, aggravating injuries he had been dealing with since 2003 when he was injured in an ATV accident. During a segment on the new season of The Osbournes Podcast, Madman recalled what happened. According to Classic Rock’s transcription:

“One evening I went to the toilet. The lights were off, pitch black. I misjudged the position of the bed, made a mistake and fell on my face. I hit the ground so hard that I just lay face down. I knew I had caused damage. I wasn’t in pain, but the way I fell to the ground was drastic. Sharon asked, “What are you doing down there?” I said, ‘Call an ambulance, I think I’ve broken my damn neck’.”
