Dog the Bounty Hunter leaves some of his late wife Beth’s ashes with her mother who passed away in November: ‘I am confident Beth can now rest in peace’
Dog the Bounty Hunter helped fulfill one of his mother-in-law’s last wishes.
The 69-year-old reality star – who is dealing with some legal troubles of her own – made sure some of his late wife Beth Chapman’s ashes were buried with hers.
TMZ reports that one of Bonnie Joan Johannsen’s wishes was to be buried with her daughter, and when she died in November at the age of 82, Dog, whose maiden name is Duane Chapman, gave some of Beth’s ashes to her sister Melinda her to Bonnie’s.

The mother and daughter relationship was rocky at times, but they made things right before Beth passed away in 2019 after a long battle with cancer.
The outlet also reports that pieces of Beth’s ashes were scattered in places that were important to her during her life.
“Now I understand what rest in peace really means,” explained the Dog and Beth: On the Hunt star. “I am confident that Beth can rest in peace now.”

As for the future, Dog’s official website indicated that he will be releasing a new book, his third, later this year.
The former criminal’s first book, You Can Run But You Can’t Hide, debuted at number one on The New York Times Best Seller list in 2007. The author published a second tome, Where Mercy Is Shown, Mercy Is Given, in 2010.
Dog remarried in 2021 and now lives with his wife Francie Frane in Colorado, where they run the Light Up the Darkness ministry and provide services, including housing, counseling and job training, to victims of sex trafficking.
