Doja Cat slams critics she calls “phonies” as she explains she never “denigrates” rappers she respects like Cardi B after changing the cover of the Scarlet album

Doja Cat has spoken out against trolls who leave nasty messages in her Instagram comments.

On Friday, the 27-year-old singer expressed her opinion on Insta Stories. The star, born Amala Ratna Zandile Dlamini, explained that she supports stars like Cardi B and Nicki Minaj, whom she admires, but has no respect for online haters.

“People don’t want to accept that I’m denigrating them, so they try to blame it on Cardi Nicki and Meg and every other female rapper,” the artist said.

The Victoria’s Secret model then added: “I’m not dissing rappers, I’m dissing critics.” Stay bored. Stay available.’

That was just the beginning of their messages.

Cat also said, “I don’t diss people I’m inspired by, I don’t diss people I look up to.”

The cover girl then shared, “I don’t disparage people who don’t attack and harass me every day.”

“You all do. Not YOU. YOU don’t do it. “You are all the problem,” she meant to her social media followers.

Then she talked down to her haters.

“To be 100% clear, because I know I have to talk REEEEAL SLOOOOOOW for all of you; I don’t denigrate anyone except the damn phonies in my comments.’

This post comes shortly after she announced a change to her upcoming album Scarlet.

Their album cover closely resembled the German band Chaver’s album cover. Both were designed by Portland-based artist Dusty Ray.

And both albums will be released on September 22nd.

“Updated cover,” Doja captioned the image, which features a spider with pearls for a head and stomach.

Earlier this week, Cat announced that her new album, Scarlet, will be released on September 22nd.

The star revealed the album cover for her follow-up 2021 album “Planet Her” on Instagram, which features a red tarantula.

This summer, Doja released the singles Attention and the viral sensation Paint The Town Red, although the star recently vowed to stop making “enjoyable, marketable and sellable” music.

The “Say So” hitmaker claimed that all her future music will be “authentic” after she channeled all the “anger” she felt towards the music industry into an eclectic album that includes “rap, soul and R Combining ‘n’B music with jazz.”

In a cover interview with V Magazine, in which the star bared the nipple in a fishnet top, she said: “I messed up my entire career because I made music that didn’t allow me to relax mentally.”

“I made music that was palatable, marketable and sellable and that allowed me to be where I am now.”

“These upcoming projects will be completely different than anything I’ve done before and I’m excited about that.”

“I don’t care if people don’t.”

Doja added: “I made pop music. “I currently make rap, soul and R’n’B music with jazz elements.”

The singer and rapper previously admitted that her last two albums were “money grabs.”

The Kiss Me More hitmaker, who is known to walk back her social media statements, told millions of her followers that she wouldn’t put out “mediocre pop,” claiming that “Planet Her” and “Hot Pink” from 2019 was all about making money.

She also followed up on a previous post in which she announced that her new album would be called Hellmouth.

She tweeted: “Planet Her and Hot Pink were a cash grab and you all fell for it.” Now I can disappear somewhere and touch weed on an island with my loved ones while you all cry over mediocre pop. (sic)’

She added: “It’s not called hEllMoUth either, it’s called ‘First of All’, and yes, I’m just announcing the album title.” (sic)’

However, the title has yet to be confirmed.

Doja had previously announced a completely different project, telling Variety: “I want to explore punk.” But not pop-punk. I feel like we have enough pop punk artists at the moment. And if it needs to be more, then let it be more, but I don’t think I’m the one doing that.

“I want to explore more of a kind of raw, unfiltered hardcore punk.” It’s just something I do for my personal fun – getting a bunch of drummers and guitarists together. And I don’t even know if that’s going to get out there.’
