Doja Cat Slams ‘Stranger Things’ Star Noah Schnapp For Sharing Private Messages On TikTok

Doja Cat has slammed actor Noah Schnapp for sharing her private messages on TikTok.

Earlier this week, Schnapp, 17, shared an exchange between himself and the 26-year-old singer, in which she asked him to tell his Stranger Things co-star Joseph Quinn: “Hmm [hit me up]“.

In the exchange, which Schnapp has since removed from TikTok, Doja wrote: “Noah can you say Joseph to hmu? wait no Does he have a girlfriend?”

After Schnapp encouraged her to “slip into his DMs,” Doja replied, “I don’t know his Instagram or Twitter. He doesn’t have a direct message to slip in.”

During an Instagram Live on Thursday (July 7), Doja said she was “not comfortable” with Schnapp sharing the information publicly – describing the move as “socially clueless and shaky.”

“Let’s try to keep calm first,” said Doja. “To be fair, that’s like a kid. Noah, I don’t know how old he is, but he’s not even over 21.

“When you’re so young, you make mistakes, you do stupid things. I’m trying to be super fair. You do stupid shit, you say stupid shit. You screw up relationships with people. You make mistakes. You should do things like that so you know not to do it in the future. I screwed up my share so I wouldn’t screw up again.

“But the fact that Noah did this as a private conversation between me and him posted is as unbelievable as it is socially unaware and whack. This is borderline snake shit. It’s like weasel shit.”

She added, “I’m not saying that includes his entire personality. I couldn’t imagine it being him. Maybe he’s like a whole snake. But I didn’t see him like that. I assumed he would hold back and he went and shared information that I didn’t feel comfortable sharing.

Schnapp has not yet replied to Doja’s comments.

Quinn has risen to popularity after his role in Stranger Things season four. A scene from the finale, in which his character Eddie Munson performs the Metallica track “Master of Puppets,” was recently praised by the band itself.

In May of this year, Doja announced that she had to cancel all of her 2022 live dates, including festival shows and her tour with The Weeknd, to recover from tonsillectomy.
