Dolly Parton’s forthcoming novel will take a “dark” autobiographical turn.
Country singer / actress / businesswoman – who joined forces with Alex Patterson, 74, the best-selling writer of their best-selling thriller “Run, Rose, Run,” has recently been annoyed that this is a warning look in the shadows of music industry.
“It shows a lot of the dark side of it – people who have been in it, like me, you know it because you’ve been through it,” Parton, 76. said CBS Sunday Morning reporter Lee Cowen for a story aired this weekend.
The novel tells the story of Rosa, a young country singer / songwriter from Nashville who realizes that fame and fortune are not all she pretends to be. She also uses a deep secret that could ruin her career.

“Have you experienced much of this?” Are some of them in the book? ”Cowen asked the CEO of Dollywood Company about their new mystery thriller, which will be released on March 7.
“Oh, yes,” Parton said. “It simply came to our notice then. All these managers – people who will rob you, try to steal your songs, deceive you, do anything. I’ve seen everything. “
The book’s official description dramatically states that Nashville is the city “where she came to claim her fate.” There, too, she could find the darkness from which she had escaped. And destroy it. ”

Parton has hinted that she would like to take part in a potential film adaptation of the volume, the theme of which was originally presented by Patterson to Parson in 2019.
“I hope to play this character when we make a film based on the book, which we hope to do at some point,” she said.
The Country Music Hall of Fame will also release a new album with original songs inspired by the novel.
Parton will host the 57th annual Academy Awards with country stars Jimmy Allen and Gabby Barrett on March 7. She will take the stage with Kelsey Ballerini to make a tune from the album “Run, Rose, Run”, “Grammy”, the winner recently told People.
Other A-List performers on stage in Las Vegas on Monday include Eric Church, Jason Aldin, Luke Brian, Kane Brown, Thomas Rhett and Maron Morris.
