NEW YORK. – Anyone who watched the first season of “Dominicana’s Got Talent” will surely remember an enigmatic contortionist whose act startled and impressed the local judges.

That same feeling, only amplified, was evoked by the members of the judging panel of America’s Got Talent. Gabriel Hernández auditioned for the 18th season of the popular American television show.

The video shows how shocked and at the same time impressed the jury by the talent and the staging of the flexible artist.

The Dominican wants to win the final prize of $1 million, but for that he has to convince executive producer Simon Cowell, who is part of the jury along with world fashion icon Heidi Klum; Comedian Howie Mandel and internationally acclaimed actress and superstar Sofia Vergara.

“When I first started the pole, I didn’t know she was shirtless, but I knew what a taboo she was here,” Gabriel argued at the time.

“When my family first saw me pole training without a t-shirt I didn’t want to go back to the academy, but later when they saw that I wasn’t doing it for discos, it was more than sports and arts were starting them to support me and that’s what we want to convey here, that they realize that pole is a sport and an art. “It’s sport,” affirmed the artist.

“The first thing my coach said to me was ‘Obviously to whatever other people tell you’… I’m going to go to the circus,” he said with the confidence he displayed in his presentation.

She now resides in California, where she lives with her American husband and continues to exhibit her art.
