Former Montreal mayor Denis Coderre filed a formal complaint with the Quebec Municipal Commission to investigate Dominique Ollivier’s management of expenses during his tenure in the public consultation office, he revealed to LCN, while also attacking the mayor Valérie Plante.

“I did it yesterday,” he confirmed on Mario Dumont’s show on Wednesday. You will remember that as a former mayor, I started cleaning up Tourisme Montréal.
“I seriously believe that the OPCM has a role to play, but it cannot be exploited by the current government.”
Ms. Ollivier was Head of the Office de Consultation Publique de Montréal between 2014 and 2021. The Auditor General had warned Ms. Ollivier in 2017 that there was a problem with the management of OCPM’s expenditure, our report shows. Bureau of Investigation.
“How come Madame Ollivier has never apologized if it is so serious?” argued Denis Coderre, who claims to have always borne his own meal costs.
“If you drink wine, you pay for it!” he said, taking a swipe at Mayor Plante near the end of his interview.
“The difference between her and me? She loves her job. I love my city.”
Dominique Ollivier remains a city councilor
Recall that Ms. Ollivier resigned from her position as President of the Executive Committee of the Plante administration following the revelations about her spending at the OCPM.
She remains a councilor in the Rosemont-La-Petite-Patrie district, angering former mayor Coderre.
“How come she is no longer president of the executive committee but is in a position to become a local councilor? I want the commission to examine the entire file.”
For her part, Mayor Plante is calling for an investigation by the Montreal Public Consultation Office.
