It’s pretty hard not to notice the advent of the US-imported drag queen Story Hour. It’s spreading like wildfire across the UK and has been dubbed “family-friendly” by LGBTQ campaigners. It consists of grown men, often scantily clad, who read and “perform” with wigs and make-up for children.
We are constantly told, mostly by the liberal left, that the advent of the drag queen story hour is somehow enriching for children and that any objection to grown men presenting themselves to children as dramatized and sexualized caricatures of women takes you to an extreme right makes bigots.
But this “family-friendly” activity is anything but.
Last weekend I received chilling videos of a children’s drag performance at the Honor Oak Pub in Lewisham. In the video you can see the drag queen named Copper Topp Queen pulling up her miniskirt to do the splits and gyrating on the floor in PVC boots while a young girl looks on and the adults in the room whoop with delight and sound .
I was of course shocked and disgusted, especially when parents who raised concerns on social media were blasted with accusations of being homophobic and far-right. In my opinion, it’s quite homophobic to suggest that being gay, or even “queer,” has to be constantly associated with highly sexualized behavior in front of children. Many gay people do not want to be associated with this and agree that these events are inappropriate for children.
If you examine the site, you can see that it is heavily sanitized and features mostly fully clothed women and men. While it’s clearly an acquired taste, no one would guess that you’d find behind-the-scenes gigs better placed in a strip club and advertised as “baby sensory.”

There is nothing “bigoted” or “far right” about protecting the innocence of children and I will continue to shout about it from the rooftops until something is done, writes GB News regular DOMINIQUE SAMUELS (pictured).
From an early age, children absorb everything that happens around them. What if the children then emulated the inappropriate behavior they observed at the playground?
But little did I know that this saga was going to get worse. I was then directed to the Instagram page of a “baby cabaret” company called Caba Baba Rave. It advertises itself as “baby sensory” and is aimed at children aged 0-2 years.

That’s the first alarm bell. What are they hiding?
The answer was plentiful. In a particular video I posted that has gone viral internationally, you can see a man hanging from the ceiling with bondage gear across his chest and dancing lewdly in stripper heels. Then you see another man in fetish thongs (who happens to have a stage name that’s a pun on anal sex) doing a handstand on a chair, barely covering his genitals.
In one of the many photos proudly promoted by the company, a woman stands on the stage and suggestively positions herself on her hands and knees, wearing pink fishnet stockings and grinning at the baby beneath her. In another, a woman holds an infant wearing nothing but thongs and nipple tassels.
What we are witnessing is the desensitization of children to highly sexualized issues, but it is seemingly allowed to do anything in the name of “diversity and inclusion” if it is anything but that
I seriously question the mental capacity of parents who think it’s okay to take their unsuspecting child to these kinky performances
First and foremost, I seriously question the mental capacity of the parents who think it’s okay to take their unsuspecting child to these kinky performances, as well as the venues that allow these sick acts to take place.
What we are witnessing is the desensitization of children to highly sexualized issues, but it is seemingly allowed to do anything in the name of “diversity and inclusion” if it is anything but that.
This is anything but panto, as many activists foolishly claim. When was the last time a mime lady paraded around kids wearing bondage gear, or danced lewdly wearing only a leopard print thong and gloves?
The answer is never. And if that were to happen, there would be justifiable outrage and disgust.
I cheered to learn that Caba Baba Rave canceled their upcoming shows. But rather than take responsibility, they have chosen to blame online trolling and media harassment for the cancellations, while failing to acknowledge the legitimate concerns of numerous parents.
Together we must ignore the incessant screeching of the hard left and call it what it is. The government has an absolute responsibility to act, as do the councils that license venues that allow this depravity.
Protecting the innocence of children is not “biased” or “far right” and I will continue to shout about it from the rooftops until something is done.
