Donald Trump took a break from deciphering the FBI on Friday to poke fun at ousted CNN host Brian Stelter.

Amid Truth Social posts about the FBI’s raid on his Mar-a-Lago home — which he described as a “burglary” and one of the FBI’s many “atrocities” — the former president took some time to approach Stelter shoot , whose dismissal was announced by CNN on Thursday.

“Brian Stelter of Fake News CNN was fired for lying and lying and lying – ABOUT ME. Rest in peace!’ Trump wrote on his social media platform.

Trump also jibed Stelter along with Liz Cheney, vice chair of the Jan. 6 committee, who lost reelection for her Wyoming congressional seat on Tuesday.

Trivia question: who has less charisma, Brian Stelter or Liz Cheney. I say Liz Cheney because Stelter could have gotten more votes than she did in Wyoming the other day – she lost at 40!’

Stelter was an outspoken critic of Trump and conservative media on his show Reliable Sources, but he was booted after the show’s ratings fell to half that of its rival Fox News.

The ousting is the latest step in a CNN restructuring by new CEO Chris Licht, who said he is trying to move the network away from partisan programming and instead focus on objective journalism.

Stelter confirmed his departure from CNN in a statement to NPR on Thursday.

He said he’s grateful for the show and for his team’s exploration of “the media, the truth, and the stories that are shaping our world.”

“It has been a rare privilege to headline a weekly show that focuses on the press at a time when it has never been so consequential,” he added.

CNN confirmed in a statement to that Stelter’s final show will be on Sunday.

Stelter’s departure comes a week after Jefferey Toobin, a staunch CNN colleague, also announced he would not be returning to the network, and Licht has made it clear that more significant changes are on the way.

“I want to acknowledge that this is a time of significant change, and I know many of you are unsettled,” Licht said of his staff, according to a report by The Hollywood Reporter. ‘There will be other changes that you may not understand or like.’

Many have speculated that longtime and loudly left-leaning anchor Don Lemon could be the next to leave.

Before Trump blew up Stelter on Friday, Trump continued his ongoing tirade against the FBI, which he continued to describe as a “witch hunt.”

“When will people realize that the atrocities committed by the FBI and DOJ have to do with the raid and burglary at my home, Mar-a-Lago, or after years of other atrocities and unthinkable violations of liberty and the law, this It’s been like this for years, from the moment I walked down the golden escalators in Trump Tower to now,” he wrote.

“Our country’s law enforcement has become that of a third world nation and I don’t think people will stand for that.”
