Donald Trump’s lawyer said she was attacked by thieves who allegedly tried to steal confidential documents about the former president from her car.

CCTV footage shared with shows a man and woman driving a white Range Rover drive through a checkpoint at the Trump Golf Club in Bedminster, New Jersey last month before driving to the nearest lawyer’s office and break into her car.

Alina Khabba, Trump’s personal lawyer who handles some of his high-profile cases, told that she believes the hack was a targeted attempt to steal Trump’s legal documents and personal files.

According to Hubba, the police told her that a Range Rover with New York license plates was stolen from Long Island the day before the incident, and that they found three fingerprints from the alleged crime scene.

Surveillance video shows a suspicious vehicle pulling into the crowded parking lot of the Bedminster Law Office next to Hubba’s car.

The woman exited the passenger side of the Rover and climbed onto the passenger side of Hubba’s unlocked car.

After about a minute of navigating in the car, she got out, got back into the ATV, and sped away.

Hubba, a partner at Habba Madaio & Associates LLP, also based in Bedminster, said two bags were stolen from the car but contained only clothes and a gift.

She said her garage door opener was left behind by thieves, which she said the police told her was odd for a normal car break-in.

Bedminster Police did not respond to requests for comment.

Hubba said she accidentally left Trump’s trial files with New York Attorney General Letitia James in the car, but sent her aide to retrieve them just two hours before the break-in.

Two hours before the break-in, Hubba sent an aide to pick up files from Trump's legal battle with New York Attorney General Letitia James, which she accidentally left in her car, the attorney said.

I went to my office, preparing to argue against the attorney general. I realized that I left a folder with all his documents in the car, got nervous and sent my assistant for my things, ”Habba told .

“Thank God I got my folder out of the car. In a couple of hours they would have confidential documents.

According to the lawyer, the break-in looked purposeful.

“I knew something was strange because they just go straight to my car. They don’t touch or check other cars,” she said.

— They’re not in the driver’s seat. They don’t try to start the car. It looks like they were looking for something.

Hubba said that when she showed Bedminster police detectives the CCTV footage, they recognized the car as the same vehicle that guards had pursued the nearby Trump Golf Club earlier in the day after they drove past a security checkpoint.

Hubba is a member of the club.

Camera footage from the entrance to the club shows a black and white Range Rover with New York license plates as the driver and passenger drive by.

“I’ve become something of a target,” Hubba said. “I receive threats every day. I’m in a daze and it’s scary, but I’m not going to stop what I’m doing.

“What is happening is wrong. Now they’re breaking into my car? It’s too random.

On the day of the incident, Hubba was preparing to hear James’ civil lawsuit against the Trump family and companies for alleged tax fraud.

A heated and controversial court appearance last month pitted a corporate lawyer against the attorney general, with Hubba saying the investigation was “invalid” and biased, and James pushing for permission to interrogate Trump and his children under oath.

Hubba reportedly interrupted the judge twice and was warned by his clerk, Allison Greenfield, “When the judge is talking, you need to stop talking.”

New York Supreme Court Judge Arthur Engoron ruled against Hubba after the hearing, allowing James to force the Trumps to testify.

The Attorney General’s office accuses Trump of inflating the value of his property for the sake of tax breaks.

James says the former president falsely claimed that his Trump Tower penthouse was 20,000 square feet larger than it actually is in order to obtain an estimate of more than $200 million more than its true value, in filing documents for credit.

He allegedly told the IRS that he had seven non-existent $61 million mansions on his Seven Springs Estate in Westchester County and received millions of dollars in tax deductions as a result.

Lawyers for the Trump Organization allege that James campaigned to bring down Trump and his family before she had any evidence of wrongdoing.

In legal documents, AG’s office alleges that one of Trump’s flagship properties in New York City, 40 Wall Street, was grossly overvalued in his Statements of Financial Condition (SFC), an annual report of his assets and liabilities that he passed on to creditors and insurers.

The cost of the building was recorded as $200 million for a loan modification in 2010 and $260 million in 2012, but was valued at between $524 million and $621 million on its SFC over the same period, James’ investigation alleges.

Parallel to the James case, Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg is prosecuting the Trump Organization for a similar alleged fraud.

Two prosecutors, Carey Dunn and Mark Pomeranz, resigned after Bragg reportedly told them he had doubts about moving forward with the case.

Bragg’s spokeswoman told the New York Times that he was “thankful for their service” and that the investigation was ongoing.
