A fire is underway in Dorval, where around a hundred firefighters from the Montreal Fire Safety Service (SIM) are responding to control the flames in two buildings on Garden Crescent.
The emergency services were called in the early afternoon, around 1:20 p.m.
The fire apparently started on the balcony of a unit on the third and top floor before spreading to the roof of the building and that of the neighboring building.
A total of 32 units had to be evacuated, indicates the head of the SIM department, Marie-Ève Beausoleil. The number of people who need to be supported by the Red Cross is not yet known.
