Doubts about the film are dispelled 25 years after its release

James Cameron is in the spotlight with the theatrical release of Avatar 2, but the director’s success isn’t just based on the Blue Men feature film. He is also known for Titanic, which was released 25 years ago.

Two decades after the premiere of the feature film that tells the story of the sunken ship, there is still a lively debate: why didn’t Jack walk to the door with Rose and save himself?

The doubt has never really been dispelled and remains so vivid that a documentary on the subject will prove the truth once and for all.

“We have conducted a scientific study that will debunk this theory,” Cameron told Postmedia. The production team called in a hypothermia specialist, hired two people who were the same weight as Kate and Leo at the time, and reconstructed the door used in the footage.

“We inserted sensors into the bodies of the two people and submerged them in ice water. We tested whether the two could have survived in different ways.”

The answer was always the same: it doesn’t work. Only one would survive.

How was Rose supposed to know all this information? In the context of the film, it seems like she was just being selfish.

Production will arrive in the US from National Geographic in February 2023. There is no forecast for the release in Brazil yet.
