During a heated exchange on British journalist Piers Morgan's talk show about Israel, New York Post columnist Douglas Murray called “The Young Turks” host Cenk Uygur a “low-rent racist” and a “bad thug.”
Murray also accused the pro-Palestinian commentator of only caring about defending innocent people when it involves bashing Jewish people.
Appearing on “Piers Morgan Uncensored” on Thursday, both Murray and Uygur had a direct exchange about the war between Israel and Hamas, which resulted in insults and strong rebukes between the two men who opposed each other in the conflict.

Murray, who recently visited Gaza to report on Israel's offensive in the area after the Oct. 7 Hamas massacre, defended the Jewish state's war effort in a dispute with Uyghurs who claimed Israel was killing innocent Palestinians.
After going back and forth about whether Israel doesn't care how many innocent Palestinians are killed in its war, Murray took off his gloves and told Morgan: “Your other guest, I mean, I don't know what kind Creature he is.” is. He's kind of an inferior hitter, as far as I can tell. He didn't listen to anything I said.

Uygur interjected and said, “Yes, yes. I know because I'm Muslim. That's what all Muslims are called. I understand, racist.”
Murray responded that he thought Uygur was a “low rent racist.” He then rejected Uygur's premise that he and other pro-Israel supporters don't care about Palestinian children.
He said: “First of all, you say that I don't care about the deaths of Palestinian children, has misgoverned his society for the last 16 years and has now led the country into a war with Israel.”

As his rebuttal continued, he then cited his experience as a journalist in the field to prove that he knew more about the topic than Uyghurs.
“I don't know if you ever leave your own bedroom, and I can already tell that you don't because you've already said something that shows you don't know anything about this conflict,” he said before telling Uygurs Claim mentioned “We must push for a two-state solution and give legitimacy to the Palestinian Authority.”

Murray criticized Uygur even more harshly, adding: “Tonight you have repeatedly made accusations against the Jewish state and against me. This is what you do. I know you're kind of an online pugilist and you think you can run for office and good luck with that. But I just want to point out that you only really animate when the Jews are involved.”
When given the opportunity to respond, Uygur exposed Murray's alleged apathy toward the Palestinians and defended himself as a friend of the Jewish people.
He began by saying: “The only tactic of all right-wing supporters of Israel is: 'Hey, don't look at the 8,000 murdered children. Don't look at the 6,400 women murdered. Don't look at the fact that all hospitals in the northern Gaza Strip are being closed. Don't look at the fact that four out of five people in northern Gaza are currently hungry and half of the people in southern Gaza are starving.'”

“Instead, 'Anti-Semite, anti-Semite!'” he gave his impression of the Israel supporters.
As Murray repeatedly tried to interrupt, Uygur continued: “I just told you how much I want peace and security for Israel and how much I hated what happened on October 7th. What you don't know is that I founded The Young Turks with two Jews.” Friends. And so the whole program revolves around both Jews and Muslims. You don't know anything, you don't know anything. I have Jewish family and friends.”
He then accused Murray of harboring “hatred” and seeking the deaths of Muslims and Palestinians, while blaming them for their deaths.
