Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero Read Movie Review

to fully enjoy Dragon Ball Super: Superhero an alignment of expectations is necessary. If you are looking for a Dragon Ball movie with frantic combat like it was in Broly or an adventure revolving around the character of Goku, as in Frieza’s rebirth, maybe it’s better to look for another movie. The latest feature film in the franchise is not only a great homage to the Dragon Ball universe, but also a fun side character filler.

The plot begins with the revelation that the army red ribbon It wasn’t wiped out, it just started operating under the covers using a pharmaceutical company as a cover. magentathe current President and son of Commander Red, dreams of conquering the world with the help of androids, and for this he recruits them Dr Hedo, grandson of the villain Dr. Maki Gero. References to the past are thankfully illustrated with redrawn clips from the original anime.

A big fan of superhero stories, Hedo is adamant about creating new androids when Magenta subverts the Dragon Ball story and tells facts as if Goku and his friends are actually the villains. This is the incentive for the new scientist not only to create androids range 1 and reach 2but also cell maxa remake of the villain from Dragon Ball Z. With Goku, Vegeta, and Broly training on Beerus’ planet (and barely appearing in the film), it’s up to the “Bseries” of Z Fighters to defend Earth from these new threats.

The film has a classic Dragon Ball Filler story structure, especially those without the protagonist’s involvement. Do you remember when the earth was threatened by the evil Garlic Jr. who spread a dark fog on earth and Gohan had to stop everything while Goku was on another planet? It’s something like that! Also very interesting to make the decision piccolo as a character with more screen time and better plot development superhero. In addition to the onetime villain who discovers the plan for the new Red Ribbon on his own, we also follow how Piccolo becomes the “grandfather of creation”. Pan, the girl trains to fight while her parents are busy with other activities. The relationship between the two characters is fraught with complicity, resulting in cute and hilarious scenes that reinforce Piccolo’s “Dragon Ball’s best father” meme.

The fact that Super Hero was made in CG might even cause an initial prejudice, but that’s quickly overcome. The character models are very detailed and in the battle scenes it’s easy to forget that we’re looking at something produced without traditional animation. The film’s director is Tetsuro Kodama, who was responsible for directing the CGI scenes in the puzzle against Broly in the previous film. Unfortunately, some scenarios left a lot to be desired, such as the incar conversation scene, but overall the CGI was a nice addition.

Not having Goku and Vegeta out of the spotlight helps the film tell an unusual story in the Dragon Ball franchise and provides a rare opportunity for Piccolo, Bulma, Krillin, Gohan, Goten, and Trunks to shine for themselves. And Super Hero doesn’t get lost in a large cast of “lesserknown” characters, balancing old familiars with the new faces likely to join the series from now on.

Fans criticized the new transformations when the first information about the film leaked online, but through gaps that already existed in the original story, everything was well placed in the script. Although these molds were created to sell new toys, there was a creative effort. And for those who like to see Brazilian voices, the anime brought back practically the entire cast of the wellknown anime Luis Antonio Lobue like Piccolo and Vagner Fagundes in the role of Gohan. Unfortunately, there was a change in Pan’s voice that was now made by Mariana Evangelistabut she looks great in the role.

As an anime film, Super Hero may disappoint because it has a different pacing, even a little stretched out at times. However, he manages very well to recreate great moments from the series, especially those that focus more on adventure than porradaria. Is it a filler? IT IS! But it’s one of those fun fillers that we like to remember.
