It must be an acquired taste.
A day after Barstool Sports CEO Dave Portnoy got into a heated argument with the owner of Dragon Pizza in Somerville, Massachusetts, the pizzeria was full of seemingly happy customers.
One customer even disagreed with Portnoy’s rating and gave his piece – a slice of maple bacon – a much higher rating than Portnoy.
“I would probably give this one a 9 [out of 10]… But it’s a little floppy, I have to agree,” the chewing customer told The Post. “Yes, I saw it [the altercation]. I liked it better when he rated it, but that’s just my taste. The owner, [identified by the Boston Globe as Charlie Redd]He seemed a little out of control, maybe he was having a bad day.
“It was caught on camera, I think that was it.”

The 46-year-old Portnoy, who recently purchased Barstool Sports back from Penn Entertainment for $1, visited the pizzeria for one of his pizza reviews, which has been one of his trademarks since his rise to prominence in sports media.
In a series called “One Bite,” Portnoy visits famous pizzerias, takes a bite, and then records a review of the pizza right outside the restaurant, giving it a rating from 1 to 10.
Portnoy clearly didn’t like his slice of Dragon Pizza and began calling it “garbage” and a “limp mess,” giving it a 6.4 rating.

Then Redd went out and confronted Portnoy.
“Enjoy your pizza like any other customer, but I don’t appreciate what you’re doing when you come in and judge a business with one bite,” Redd said.
After Portnoy responded that he was helping small businesses, the owner replied, “I don’t see it that way,” before walking back into the pizzeria.
A few moments later, Redd reappeared and asked Portnoy to stop standing in front of his shop.
“Let me fucking get this straight,” Portnoy shot back repeatedly, before calling the owner a “motherf-ker” and an “asshole.”
Redd threatened to call the police, and when Portnoy asked why, he replied, “Because he’s a royal bitch.”

Although Redd was seen at the pizzeria on Friday, he didn’t seem interested in using the attention for new fame.
There is a paper plate attached to the window with the words “We don’t talk about it.”
The customer, who gave the rating 9 out of 10, said his decision to visit Dragon Pizza on Friday was due in part to Portnoy’s review.

“That got me thinking about getting a slice of pizza,” he said. “That was it.”
