Drew Barrymore looked fresh as a spring day in a Kelly Green suit to launch her collaboration with the Grove Collaborative.

The suit consisted of a long, oversized blazer and low-slung, wide-leg pants. The 48-year-old Santa Clarita Diet star, who doesn’t believe in the self-care industry, wore an ivory silk blouse with his suit.

Her long, red hair was loose and tousled as she posed for photos with attendees at the event.

Designer Christian Siriano popped up in a moment of kismet wearing a corduroy jacket in the exact same shade as Drew’s suit.

They hugged each other fiercely as they met and the green of their clothes blended.

Grove Collaborative sells eco-friendly, sustainable home products.

The ET star invested in the company last April, becoming its first global brand ambassador and sustainability advocate.

“I wanted to create a range of home accessories that are bright, modern and inspired by the beauty of nature,” Barrymore said in a statement at the time.

“Each piece is designed and crafted to be sustainable, beautiful and effective for the health of people and the planet. I hope the collection will inspire others to take action and embark on their own sustainability journey – by making it easier to use less plastic in their daily lives.”

She was ultimately inspired to get involved with Grove Co. by Adam McKay’s 2021 film Don’t Look Up.

“I can’t take the accuracy of the silliness and the gulf and the crazy behavior and it doesn’t seem like what anyone says ever gets to the top,” Barrymore told Forbes. “It keeps getting swallowed up by mass hysteria.”

But rather than give up hope, she decided to get more involved.

Only nine percent of plastic is recycled and the Charlie’s Angels actress wants that percentage to increase.

Drew discovered Grove through an Instagram ad and was a customer long before she became an investor and advocate.

“You see Burger King making the Impossible Burger,” the mother-of-two noted. “That was only three years ago, and the plant-based movement is ubiquitous. It only takes a spark to start a fire. It’s about big companies and corporations making these huge changes.”

And while Drew is keen to save the world with greener products and recycle more plastic, she admits she forgets that when it comes to self-sufficiency.

The actress told InStyle that she prefers hanging out with her dog, cat and bearded dragon, as well as her two children, Frankie and Olive, to embracing the “self-care” fad.

“Self-Care and I aren’t friends,” she said as she plugged in her new collab.

“Having less, having systems, committing to living a more peaceful life through less chaos, that’s my version of self-care,” Barrymore added.

The mother-of-two shared that she hardly ever does her nails, doesn’t always stick to her exercise routine and gets annoyed with massage therapists who tell her she seems stressed. But she enjoys therapy and candles.

“For me, self-sufficiency means organizing my children’s things so that they come out the door in the morning, lined up. That’s self-care,” said the 50 First Dates star.
