Diones Coelho da Silva, who was involved in an accident with Kayky Brito last Saturday (2), ended his virtual crowdfunding. The driver, who requested to reactivate his profile on a transport app, received almost six times the expected amount in just 24 hours. “Very grateful for all the donations,” he said.
The initial goal of the campaign was to raise R$30,000, but the professional received the support of 5,905 people who donated a total of R$178,216.53. The amount will mainly be used to repair the car, which is currently his only source of income.
“I’m coming by to thank everyone who donated. Thank you for everyone’s support. I say I’m completing crowdfunding. I am very grateful for all donations. You can be sure that they will be a great blessing to me and my family,” said Silva, in a video on her Instagram profile.
Deolane Bezerra, who took part in A Fazenda 14 (2022), was one of the people who donated for the driver. She revealed that she was touched by the audio story that Fofocalizando sent to columnist Leo Dias:
I spoke to him, he is a hard worker, he supports his children, his family. His car was brand new, he bought it in May, financed in 60 installments, you know?
How is Kayky Brito?
According to the medical bulletin published on Thursday (7), the actor has neither progressed nor regressed in connection with the treatment. He had a “satisfactory response” to the suggested medication but had not noticed any changes in his condition.
In the previous statement, doctors said Brito continued to be sedated and ventilated. Experts also assume that he will fully recover from the operation on his pelvis and arm. His condition remains serious.
Sthefany Brito’s brother suffered polytrauma to the head and multiple fractures to his body when he was run over on the edge of the Barra da Tijuca. However, military police confirmed that the driver had not consumed any alcoholic beverages.
