A drone crashed near the village of Strelkovka in Russia’s Kaluga region early Sunday morning during Russia’s war of aggression against Ukraine, which began on February 24, 2022. “According to preliminary information, no there are wounded,” the governor of the region, Vladislav Shapsha, told the Telegram short message service. The Kaluga region borders the Moscow metropolitan area in the north.
Hours earlier, 15 cars of an empty freight train derailed in the Belgorod region of southern Russia, on the border with Ukraine. According to preliminary information, there were no injuries here either, as the local governor Vyacheslav Gladkov also reported in Telegram. There is currently no information about the cause.
In recent weeks, there have been repeated explosions and attacks in the Belgorord region, for which the authorities blame Ukraine or pro-Ukrainian saboteurs. Ukraine has yet to claim responsibility for the attacks inside Russia.
