A French driver who was originally arrested for simply running a red light is said to have committed an offense on Sunday by not only getting behind the wheel of a stolen vehicle while drunk and intoxicated, but also without a license.

Police reportedly arrested a thirty-year-old woman who had just run a red light while driving a black Golf in Rouen, northern France, on Sunday evening.
But instead of stopping, the 36-year-old woman first pressed the button to flee from the agents before resigning herself to stopping a little further, according to French media.
The officers noticed that the woman was driving the car despite having her license revoked. She was also drunk, had 1.2 grams of alcohol in her blood and reportedly tested positive for cannabis.
In addition, the driver was driving a vehicle stolen from her ex-partner, which she had just stolen from him in front of his brother, and crashed into his vehicle and that of another friend while fleeing.
“She almost hit me with my wife and daughter,” the brother then added to the agents, again according to the police source at 76actu.
The law enforcement officer was arrested and is charged with violating traffic regulations, insubordination, driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs and theft.
