Dua Lipa finally made her red carpet debut with boyfriend Romain Gavras at the Cannes Film Festival on Friday.
The 27-year-old ‘Don’t Start Now’ hitmaker became friends with her 41-year-old French director when they posed for the cameras in their first public appearance together.
The three-time Grammy winner opted for a chic black floor-length one-shoulder dress with cutouts and a long slit.
She paired the classic outfit with a pair of strappy heels and minimalist jewelry.
Gavras, on the other hand, kept it classy and wore a black suit paired with a white shirt and black tie.
The couple appeared in high spirits at the star-studded screening of ‘Omar La Fraise (The King of Algiers)’ and were spotted laughing together while holding hands.

According to Entertainment Tonight, Lipa was first linked to Gavras in February after the pair left a party in London together.
The pair were later spotted holding hands at Paris Fashion Week that same month.
In March, sources claimed the couple “did quietly know each other for months” following the split from Anwar Hadid.

“Dua and Romain have been quietly dating for several months,” a source told The Sun at the time.
“They enjoyed spending time together. The couple met their closest circle of friends over the holiday season and have a lot in common.”
“Dua knows how important it is to find someone who understands their industry. She feels that Romain understands it perfectly. They’re both really creative people,” the insider added.

Prior to Gavras, Lipa dated models Gigi and Bella Hadid’s brother from 2019 until their split in January 2021.
In September 2022, Lipa sparked rumors she was dating Trevor Noah after being spotted with the comedian multiple times in NYC.
Despite rumors, their reps told Page Six at the time that they were just friends.

For his part, Gavras dated singer Rita Ora for about six months in 2020.
Gavras is best known for directing Kanye West’s “No Church in the Wild” music video and MIA’s “Bad Girls” video.
