‘It was really great just being alone’: Dua Lipa confirms she’s single and focusing on herself… after she was spotted having dinner with pal Trevor Noah
Dua Lipa has confirmed she is single after a spate of rumors that she was dating Trevor Noah, with the couple having dinner together just last week.
The hitmaker explained that it’s “really awesome to be alone” as she broke the record during her iHeartRadio podcast, Dua Lipa: At Your Service.
Speaking to Charli XCX about the new episode, Dua, 27, explained that this is the first time she’s had a chance to be single in “years”.

“For me, this is the first year that I haven’t been in a relationship in a very long time,” Dua explained.
Continuing: “It was really great just being alone and just thinking about myself and being kind of pretty selfish.”
She went on to explain that she hasn’t had much time to focus on herself over the past few years, adding, “If you find someone who really softens and puts you at ease — I think that’s it [a] Leo thing – it makes a big difference.’

Dua opened up about her love life in the latest podcast episode and welcomed Charlie XCX to the show (Dua and Charli were pictured together in 2019).
Dua ended her two-year relationship with Anwar Hadid back in December 2021, which came after a five-year romance with Isaac Carew.
And just last week, the singer sparked speculation that she was dating Daily Show’s Trevor Noah when the couple appeared to become closer during a dinner in New York City.
Dua and Trevor kissed and hugged during their friendly dinner at Miss Lily’s, a Jamaican restaurant in the East Village.
But the pictures sent fans into a frenzy as they wondered if a romance was brewing.
Alone time: “It was really great just being alone and just thinking about myself and being pretty selfish,” the singer explained
Despite all the gossip, People reported that the two are keeping their relationship platonic, with a source telling the publication that they’re “just friends.”
While Page Six had a slightly different take, claiming a whistleblower said Dua was “in love” with a “definitely a date,” and that the comedian was “a gentleman” the entire evening.
“There’s definitely interest on both sides,” the Page Six insider said.
Web understands that Dua and Trevor are just close friends.
Trevor was last dating actress Minka Kelly, 42, but they went their separate ways last May after dating since 2020.
And the dinner came after Trevor announced he was leaving The Daily Show after seven years at the helm – during which the late-night infotainment show’s viewership fell dramatically.
