Directed by Quebecer Denis Villeneuve, Dune: Part II was originally scheduled to hit theaters on November 3rd.
According to Deadline Hollywood, it was the uncertainty caused by the strike by American actors and screenwriters that convinced the Warner Bros. studio to delay the release of Dune 2. Consider that the stars of the film would not have had a chance to promote the film due to the conflict.
Released in fall 2021, the first film in the saga has grossed more than $400 million at the global box office and also won six Oscars.
